Well, it's about time!!!
Jan. 10th, 2007 12:24 pmI woke up this morning to 9 inches* of snow on the ground. Lake effect has been cranking out the white stuff since 1:00AM. This was the first real snow that we have had all season. Those days we had 2 or 3 inches don't really count, and it didn't last long anyway. The snow plows have not been to my street yet, but I can probably drive down it anyway, ...it's only 9 inches*.
The dogs are having a great time running around in the new snow this morning. Mark is out in the workshop putting glass in 2 Cherry cabinet doors and putting another coat of finish on 5 more. Rick just came over to shovel the walk and driveway ($10.00).
I haven't decided yet whether to attempt to drive out to our current job in Fayetteville, which probably got about 12 inches of snow, or to call it a snow day and stay home. The all-season-radial tires on my truck, though still legal, are too worn to be very effective.

My truck, this morning.
[EDIT: 9 inches was the official total given by the TV news at noon. But, as is so often the case, when actually measured at my house, 9 inches turned out to be only 7 inches. We did however have a few more inches in the afternoon and evening. ;-) ]
